Samsung Galaxy Tab launch

The Samsung Galaxy Tab was launch was held at the concourse of Sg. Wang Plaza, at Bukit Bintang, KL last week. It was a simple ceremony held by Samsung and Maxis as its provider. It is not a mobile phone (although it can make calls) but it is a tablet computer which can rival the infamous iPad. You cannot NOT make a comparison as iPad seems to dominate the news since it was introduced until even now. I know a few of my blogger friends who just can't wait for iPad to come to Malaysia that they just have to own it and fly all the way or paid the courier fee to buy one.  So, as an alternative, why don't you get a Samsung Galaxy Tab which is already on sale in Malaysia and is supported by Samsung itself.

Let us look at the feature of Samsung Galaxy Tab as this review is about it. It has a 7-inch TFT-LCD display. It is very light at 380g with a svelte dimensions making it easy to grip and use. It supports Adobe Flash Player 10.1, with 3G HSUPA connectivty, 802.11n Wi-Fi and bluetooth 3.0. Powered by Ctex A8 1.0GHz application processor and HD video contents which supports DivX, XviD, MPEG4, H.263, H.264 and more. In terms of being a telephony device, it has a speaker phone or you can use Bluetooth headset.

Maxis partnered Samsung in this launch and offer Maxis Value Plans which starts from RM1,749.00. Value Plans include Value First, Value Plus 50,80, 150, 250 and 500. They are bundled with Data at 500MB, 1.5GB or 3GB.

It retail prices is RM2,699.00 but with a 12-month contract it is RM1,849.00 and with a 24-month contract, it is RM1,749.00.
